The First Cycle Virtual Art Gallery site allows you to quickly examine and review works and related information on several well-known Chinese-American artists. We think the site's interface provides a quick and easy way of navigating the material.
Galleries and Thumbnails. Works of each artists in the gallery are arranged into several seperate galleries. In each of the galleries you will be able to see a thumbnail (miniature sized picture) of each work in the gallery. If you are interested in the piece, you may click on the piece to bring up an enlargement, which will also give you more information on the specific piece and possibly, details (detailed images of specific portions of the work).
The Quick Navigation Bar. At the top of every page in the gallery, you will see a navigator bar, as shown below:

on each page. The pages are threaded in the order of: general information,
reviews, galleries and finally, individual works.
Size of links. Finally, most hyperlinks containing images also present the size of the link on status link of your browser. If you are using either Netscape Navigator/Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can see this auxillary information on the bottom of your screen as your mouse passes over each hyperlink in the page. The size of the linked page will help you estimate how long it will take to load the page if you are linked via a slow connection.
